Dasavadhaaram movie audio was launched by Jackie chaan yesterday in Nehru Stadium, Chennai. The Honorable Chief Minister of State, Mr. M. Karunanidhi took part in the function and gave a final speech in the function. He was praising the Jackie Chaan and gave some interesting facts about the Jackie Chaan. He too made some comparisons about Jacki Chaan and Kamal Haasan, said that both born on same date ‘7′ and same year ‘1954′. The news in some media has reported that Kamal was not happy with the Jackie’s arrival. He was most disappointed by the words of CM too, since Chief Minister was keep on praising Jackie Chaan. Other than Jacki chaan and Kalaignar, the function was attended by Amitaa bachan, Hema Malini, Malika Sherawat, Asin, K. S. Ravi Kumar, Mamotti and Others.

Kuruvi trailer on air {;>

Vijay starrer Kuruvi, the most awaited movie of the year, is to hit the theaters on May 1st. The promo works for the movie has been started already and the trailer too has been released in televisions. Trisha plays the lead lady role and Vivek takes care of comedy department in the movie. It is to mention that the vijay’s previous film ATM(Azhagiya Tamil Magan) failed to satisfy his fans. Hopefully, this movie is directed by Dharani and produced by Udayanidhi, son of state Home Minister, M. K. Stalin(??.?. ???????).

AR Rahman Live in Chennai Concert : April 20th, 2008

AR Rahman Live in Chennai Concert, co-sponsored by Times of India, starts at 6.30 pm and is happening at the St. George school grounds opposite Pachaiyappa’s College. It is easy to grab your tickets, and that too free of cost. For more details buy a copy of Times of India, Chennai edition. Awesome promo which brilliantly showcased the beauty of Chennai was released. The music was engaging, having all the elements of Carnatic, folk, and electronic…nice fusion as always from Rahman. AR Rahman looks cool as usual. The Marina beach, Autos, Nadaswaram, Thavil, Temple, Pujari, streets, Dosai, Paati ( granny ), Metro, Coconut water, kids, Bharatnatyam, people waiting for Water. Waiting for the day, APRIL 20th.

SUN DIRECT IS ALIVE!! IT’s TRUE

You believe it or not, “SUN DIRECT is ALIVE”. They have proved it once again, by announcing that the SET MAX will be made available in SUN Direct for next 45 days during IPL season. Sun Direct was launched before 9 to 10 months, but remains inactive in adding pay channels and packages. The existing packages is full of Sun network channels and worst no-watch channels. It is said that they have also added one English movie channel, if you are guessing it to be STAR Movies or HBO or Zee Studio or Set PIX, then you are wrong, it is a new english movie channel launched by UTV, that too a no-watch channel. They have announced a new name for their existing package called “Freedom Package” with one new english movie channel. For time being, it is better to keep away from the SUN DIRECT, don’t buy it.

The Hindu rates slashed!

The Hindu, morning English daily is the leader in South India. The Hindu for a single-edition has the second largest circulation newspaper in India, and the largest circulation for a single-edition English-language newspaper in the country. With a circulation of 1.17 million copies, The Hindu and has its largest base of circulation in South India, especially Tamil Nadu. Begun in 1878, it was founded on the principles of fairness justice. Headquartered at Chennai, The Hindu was published weekly when it was launched and started publishing daily in 1889. The Hindu became, in 1995, the first Indian newspaper to offer an online edition. Now, after the launch of TIMES of INDIA, the worlds largest selling English daily, the Hindu has slashed their rates from Rs. 3.25 to Rs. 2.50 per copy from Monday to Saturday and Rs. 3/- per copy on Sunday, previously it was Rs. 4/- copy. The other competitors in Tamil Nadu are Deccan Chronicle and The New Indian Express. Recently, the The new Indian Express too has made some change to their paper quality, which looks good now. The question is everyones mind is that, Will The Hindu continues to be the Leader or not??

TIMES OF INDIA - CHENNAI EDITION LAUNCHED

The Times of INDIA, Chennai edition launched today in Chennai. The Times of India (TOI) is a leading English-language broadsheet daily newspaper in India. It is owned and managed by Bennett, Coleman & Co. Ltd. (The Times Group). The newspaper has the widest circulation among all English-language broadsheets in India. The daily editions of the paper were started from 1850 as the Bombay Times and by 1861, the Bombay Times was renamed The Times of India. To celebrate the launch of their daily in Chennai, they were planned to co-sponsor A R Rahman Live in Chennai Concert on April 20th 2008. The Chennai edition of the daily costs Rs. 2/- per copy.
